The Greatest Adventure Ahead

It started as a joke, actually. Several years ago, Donny asked me where we should ride for our next adventure. I sent a screenshot of a zoomed-out map of North and South America with a big red squiggly line all over it. Wouldn’t that be amazing, we joked. And then our first trip to Baja four years ago showed us something unexpected — how easy it is to just live off the bikes. The joke got out hand, we started putting money away, got technical in our research, and spoke it into existence. The big pin-pull was giving notice to our jobs, which we both just did.

In June 2026, we’re leaving. We are packing the fluffy bikes with as much as they can carry and riding all the way up to the shores of the Arctic Ocean in Alaska, then turning around and riding all the way down to the very bottom of Argentina.

On this journey we plan to eat well and explore deeply. Be travelers, not tourists with schedules or itineraries. Take our time to really immerse ourselves in the wide span of landscapes and cultures of the western hemisphere. And honestly, slow way down and LIVE LIFE. Like real life. Wide open and free.

Our route is general, not specific. Over the years we’ve collected various points of interest which will point our tires to the glaciers of Alaska and the majesty of the full span of the rocky mountains. To incredible culinary hotspots and charming colonial villages in Mexico. To active volcanos and surf shacks in Central America. To the coffee fincas of Colombia. Through the epic Andean passes of Peru and colorful altiplano of Bolivia. To the steak and wine scene in Argentina, and of course the postcard monolith peaks of southern Patagonia. And maybe, if we’re lucky, even step foot on Antarctica.

We can’t wait any longer; now is the very best time in our one-and-only lives for so many reasons. And being down to just 3 months away in our countdown is a flavor of excited anticipation I’ve never felt before. When will that be? Well, we don’t know exactly. Eye-balling it, we hope we’re not home again until early 2028.

We’re sure this journey will change our lives — we just don’t know how yet. And that’s the most exciting part.
